The Miller CGA540-2EP Tailpiece, Plated is a critical component designed for the maintenance and assembly of industrial oxygen gas equipment. Engineered to meet strict CGA (Compressed Gas Association) standards, this tailpiece ensures a secure and safe interface between oxygen cylinders, manifolds, and regulation equipment. The CGA-540 standard is universally recognized for industrial oxygen service, making this part essential for MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) inventories in welding and fabrication environments.

Constructed from high-quality brass, this tailpiece features a specialized plating. This plating serves a dual purpose: it enhances the aesthetic appearance of the equipment and, more importantly, provides a robust layer of protection against oxidation and corrosion. In industrial settings where equipment is exposed to varying humidity and atmospheric conditions, the plated finish significantly extends the lifespan of the fitting compared to bare brass alternatives. The precision machining of the sealing surface guarantees a leak-tight connection when paired with the appropriate nut and cylinder valve, which is paramount for safety when handling high-pressure oxygen.
