The Weldcraft 45V26 Gas Lens is an essential upgrade for professional TIG welders seeking superior shielding gas coverage and improved weld quality. Designed to fit 17, 18, and 26 series TIG torches, this component replaces the standard collet body to transform the way shielding gas is delivered to the weld zone. By utilizing a multi-layer mesh screen, the gas lens virtually eliminates the turbulence associated with standard collet bodies, creating a coherent, laminar stream of argon (or other shielding gases) that envelops the tungsten and the molten puddle.

This laminar flow technology offers significant operational advantages. Most notably, it allows for a much longer tungsten stick-out—often up to an inch or more depending on the cup size—without the risk of atmospheric contamination. This extended reach is critical when welding in confined spaces, deep grooves, or complex geometries where standard nozzle configurations would obstruct the welder’s view or fail to provide adequate shielding. The 45V26 is precision-manufactured from high-quality copper and brass alloys, ensuring optimal electrical conductivity and heat dissipation, which contributes to the longevity of both the consumable and the torch head.
