The Walter A-25 Mounted Point (SKU: 12D076) is a high-performance abrasive tool designed to meet the rigorous demands of industrial metalworking. Manufactured by Walter Surface Technologies, this mounted point is specifically formulated for “Tough Steel” applications, making it an essential consumable for operations involving tool steel, high-tensile steel, and cast iron. The A-25 shape—typically a spherical geometry—allows for versatile multi-directional grinding, making it particularly effective for blending contours and working inside complex castings.

One of the defining characteristics of Walter’s mounted points is their exceptional balance. Unlike generic abrasive stones that may induce chatter or runout, the 12D076 is crafted to ensure concentricity and stability at high RPMs. This precision balancing not only improves the surface finish of the workpiece but also protects the spindle bearings of pneumatic and electric die grinders from premature wear caused by vibration. The vitrified bond matrix holds the abrasive grains firmly, ensuring a consistent cut rate throughout the life of the point.
