The Walter 01F508 1\/8″ SST+ Extension Drill Bit is a premium industrial tool designed for professionals who require both reach and reliability. Part of the renowned SST+ series, this drill bit is engineered to tackle the toughest drilling applications found in MRO and fabrication environments. The bit features a substantial 6-inch overall length, making it an indispensable asset for drilling through thick materials or accessing recessed areas where standard jobber-length bits cannot reach.<\/p>\n
At the core of its performance is a specialized cobalt blend substrate. This material composition provides exceptional heat resistance, allowing the bit to maintain its cutting edge even under the high thermal loads generated when drilling hard metals like stainless steel. Complementing the core material is Walter’s exclusive Bronze SST surface treatment. This unique coating acts as a lubricant, significantly reducing friction between the bit and the workpiece. The result is a cooler drilling process, faster chip evacuation, and a dramatically extended tool life compared to standard high-speed steel bits.<\/p>\n
