The Pferd 66116 Chop Saw Wheel is a premium abrasive tool designed for the rigorous demands of industrial metal fabrication. Engineered by Pferd, a global leader in surface finishing and cutting solutions, this 14-inch wheel is part of the Universal Line PSF, specifically formulated for cutting steel. It features a high-quality Aluminum Oxide (A) grain structure combined with a resinoid bond that delivers aggressive cutting action while maintaining structural integrity under heavy loads.

Fabrication shops and maintenance departments rely on the Pferd 66116 for its consistency. The wheel’s hardness grade P strikes an optimal balance, providing enough hardness to resist premature wear while remaining soft enough to fracture and expose new sharp grain edges, ensuring the wheel continues to cut freely without glazing over. This self-sharpening characteristic is essential for maintaining productivity in high-throughput environments where time spent changing wheels directly impacts the bottom line.

Designed specifically for stationary chop saws and cut-off machines, this wheel features a standard 1-inch arbor and a reinforced structure capable of withstanding speeds up to 4,400 RPM. The 1/8-inch thickness provides excellent lateral stability, resulting in straighter cuts through structural shapes, tubing, and solid bar stock. Unlike thinner wheels that may deflect during deep cuts, the 66116 maintains its path, reducing the need for secondary grinding or deburring operations.

Optimized for Stationary Machines
