The Cougartron CGT-550 Weld Cleaning & Polish Fluid is a premium chemical solution designed for the rigorous demands of industrial metal fabrication. Supplied in a substantial 1.3-gallon (5 Liter) container, this fluid is engineered to work in conjunction with electrochemical weld cleaning systems to deliver superior results on stainless steel surfaces. Unlike traditional pickling pastes which can be slow and hazardous, the CGT-550 fluid utilizes the power of electrolysis to rapidly remove impurities, heat tint, and oxides generated during the welding process.

For facility managers and procurement specialists, the CGT-550 represents a high-efficiency consumable that reduces downtime and enhances safety standards compared to harsher acids. The fluid is specifically formulated to not only clean but also polish the metal surface, leaving a bright, aesthetic finish that is often required in food, pharmaceutical, and architectural applications. Its passivation capabilities ensure that the protective chromium oxide layer of the stainless steel is fully restored, preventing future corrosion and rust issues. This large-format container is ideal for high-volume workshops where consistent throughput is critical.

Safety and Handling: While safer than hydrofluoric acid-based pickling pastes, this fluid is an industrial chemical and should be handled with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including acid-resistant gloves and eye protection. It is designed for professional use in controlled environments. The 1.3-gallon jug ensures a long-lasting supply, minimizing the frequency of reordering and handling, which contributes to a smoother workflow in busy production areas.

Key Industrial Benefits
