For over four decades, the Tweco® Professional Classic® No. 4 MIG Gun has set the benchmark for air-cooled welding performance in industrial environments. Designed for professional welders who demand durability and consistency, this 400 Amp gun is engineered to handle medium to heavy-duty fabrication tasks with ease. The “Classic” series is renowned for its robust construction and ease of maintenance, making it a favorite in shipyards, automotive manufacturing, and structural steel fabrication shops. This specific model (Part No. 1040-1129) comes equipped with a 25-foot cable and a Miller® style rear connector, ensuring immediate compatibility with your existing Miller wire feeders.

The gun features the iconic oval-shaped handle, which has been ergonomically refined to reduce the grip force required to manipulate the torch, thereby minimizing operator fatigue during extended welding sessions. The handle is balanced to pivot at the center, providing excellent control in various welding positions, from flat to overhead. Inside the handle, the mechanical connection of the conductor tube and Cablehoz® provides an uninterrupted current path to the contact tip, ensuring stable arc performance. The trigger mechanism utilizes silver-plated contacts that self-clean every time the trigger is engaged, guaranteeing reliable starts shift after shift.

Maintenance is a breeze with the Tweco Classic No. 4. The split-half handle case allows for quick access to internal components, making field repairs simple and reducing downtime. The gun utilizes the famous coaxial Cablehoz® assembly, supported by a steel spring strain relief that protects the cable as it exits the handle, significantly reducing wire feed issues. Whether you are working in a garage, a farm shop, or a high-production manufacturing line, this MIG gun offers the perfect balance of performance, longevity, and value.
