The TurboTorch PLF-8ADLX-B (0386-0867) is a premium self-lighting torch kit designed for the rigorous demands of the HVAC and plumbing industries. Engineered with TurboTorch’s proprietary Extreme Swirl Technology, this kit delivers a high-heat, high-velocity flame that significantly reduces brazing time and fuel consumption compared to standard air-acetylene torches. The kit is built around the Pro-Line series components, ensuring durability and reliability in the field.

This kit is rated for soft soldering copper tubing up to 2 inches (50 mm) and silver brazing up to 1 inch (25 mm), making it an excellent choice for residential and light commercial installations. The heart of the system is the PL-8A tip, which features a self-lighting ignition mechanism, eliminating the need for flint strikers and improving ease of use in tight spaces. The tip connects to the PLF-A5 handle, which utilizes a valve-forward design for ergonomic adjustment of gas flow with a single hand.

The PLF-8ADLX-B kit comes complete with all necessary hardware to connect to a standard “B” acetylene tank. It includes the AR-B regulator with a CGA 520 connection, ensuring safe and consistent pressure delivery. The AH-12 hose provides 12 feet of reach, allowing technicians to work comfortably on ladders or in crawl spaces without moving the cylinder constantly. The quick-disconnect design of the handle and tips allows for rapid changing of tip sizes to accommodate different pipe diameters without the need for tools.

Safety is paramount in the design of the Pro-Line series. The components feature color-coded O-rings—red for acetylene—to prevent cross-connection with other fuel gases. The regulator includes gauge guards to protect against impact damage during transport. Regular inspection of the O-rings and hose is recommended to maintain the integrity of the seal and ensure safe operation. This kit represents a complete solution for professionals seeking efficiency and precision in their soldering and brazing operations.

Professional Grade Air Acetylene Torch Kit The TurboTorch PLF-8ADLX-B (0386-0867) is a premium self-lighting torch kit designed for the rigorous demands of the HVAC and plumbing industries.
