The TurboTorch 0386-0865 PLF-5ADLX-B is a premium self-lighting torch kit designed for professional contractors in the plumbing, HVAC, and maintenance industries. Part of the renowned Extreme Self Lighting series, this kit utilizes TurboTorch’s proprietary Extreme Swirl Technology. This advanced design creates a high-velocity, swirling flame that wraps around the workpiece, delivering maximum heat transfer in minimal time. By concentrating heat more effectively than standard tips, the PLF-5ADLX-B significantly reduces brazing time and fuel consumption, making it a highly efficient choice for daily use.

This deluxe kit is configured for Air Acetylene fuel gas and features a CGA 520 connection, commonly known as a B-Tank connection. The system is engineered for versatility, offering a soft soldering capacity of up to 1-1/2 inches (38mm) and a silver brazing capacity of up to 3/4 inches (19mm). This range covers the vast majority of residential and light commercial copper piping applications. The kit includes the PL-5A self-lighting tip, which allows for instant ignition without the need for a flint striker, enhancing both convenience and safety on the job site.

Durability and ease of use are central to the design. The handle and tips feature a quick-disconnect mechanism, allowing operators to switch tip sizes rapidly without tools. Maintenance is simplified with replaceable tips and color-coded O-rings that ensure quick gas identification and proper sealing. To protect the equipment in rugged environments, this “DLX” (Deluxe) version includes gauge guards that shield the regulator gauges from impact damage. A cylinder wrench is also provided for secure tank connections. Whether for new installations or repairs, the PLF-5ADLX-B offers the reliability and performance expected from the TurboTorch brand.
