The TurboTorch PLF-5A (SKU: 0386-0864) is a premium air-acetylene torch outfit designed for professional plumbing and HVAC applications. Part of the Proline series, this kit integrates advanced swirl combustion technology, which optimizes the fuel-air mixture to produce a high-velocity, high-heat transfer flame. This results in faster soldering and brazing cycles compared to conventional induction air-acetylene torches. The system is engineered for use with Acetylene gas and specifically configured for MC cylinders via a CGA 200 regulator connection.

The core component of this kit is the PL-5A self-lighting tip assembly. It features a built-in piezoelectric ignition system, eliminating the need for external spark lighters and enhancing operational safety and convenience. The tip is rated for soft soldering copper tubing from 1/8 inch up to 1-1/2 inches and silver brazing up to 3/4 inch, making it highly versatile for standard residential and light commercial installations. The tip assembly is designed with a quick-disconnect mechanism, allowing operators to rapidly switch between different tip sizes within the Proline family to match specific heat requirements.

Included in the package is the AR-MC pressure regulator, a single-stage regulator with an easy-to-read gauge, ensuring consistent gas delivery pressure. The kit also supplies an AH-12 hose, providing 12 feet of reach to facilitate work in confined or elevated spaces. The entire assembly is constructed to withstand the rigors of daily field use, featuring brass components and impact-resistant materials. This kit represents a complete solution for technicians requiring a reliable, self-igniting acetylene torch system for MC tank configurations.

Technical Overview of the TurboTorch PLF-5A Proline Kit The TurboTorch PLF-5A (SKU: 0386-0864) is a premium air-acetylene torch outfit designed for professional plumbing and HVAC applications.
