The Tregaskiss 404-14 is a Heavy Duty Gas Diffuser belonging to the renowned TOUGH LOCK™ Consumable System. This package contains 25 units, making it an ideal procurement choice for high-volume industrial environments, particularly those utilizing robotic or automatic MIG welding cells. The TOUGH LOCK system is engineered to address two of the most common failure points in welding consumables: overheating and loosening due to vibration.

At the core of the 404-14 diffuser’s performance is the Dual Taper Technology. Unlike standard threaded connections that can rattle loose over time—especially in the high-vibration environment of robotic welding—the TOUGH LOCK system creates a secure, interference fit. When the contact tip is tightened into the diffuser, and the nozzle is seated, the dual tapers lock the components firmly in alignment. This ensures that the Tool Center Point (TCP) remains consistent, which is critical for automated programming accuracy.

Thermal management is another significant advantage of this heavy-duty diffuser. Constructed from high-quality brass with substantial mass, the 404-14 acts as an effective heat sink. It draws thermal energy away from the contact tip and dissipates it through the gun neck. By lowering the operating temperature of the contact tip, the metal remains harder and more resistant to keyholing or burn-back, significantly extending the lifespan of your consumables. This translates to fewer tip changes per shift and increased overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

This diffuser is compatible with the full range of TOUGH LOCK contact tips (Standard and Heavy Duty) and TOUGH LOCK nozzles. It is the standard heavy-duty option for Tregaskiss TOUGH GUN™ Robotic and Automatic MIG guns. For fabrication shops and manufacturing plants looking to optimize their welding process, the 404-14 provides the reliability and durability required for continuous, high-amperage arc-on time.

Tregaskiss 404-14 TOUGH LOCK Heavy Duty Gas Diffuser (25-Pack) The Tregaskiss 404-14 is a Heavy Duty Gas Diffuser belonging to the renowned TOUGH LOCK™ Consumable System.
