The Protog QC-RHF-M is a precision-engineered quick connect fitting designed to facilitate the safe and efficient coupling of fuel gas regulators to delivery hoses. Manufactured from high-grade brass, this component is built to withstand the rigorous demands of industrial welding and cutting environments. The fitting utilizes the industry-standard CGA “B” size connection geometry (5/8″-18 threads), specifically machined with Left-Hand (LH) threads to denote fuel gas service, thereby adhering to safety standards that prevent the accidental cross-connection of incompatible gases such as oxygen.

This specific model, the QC-RHF-M, serves as the male component (plug) in a regulator-to-hose configuration. It is designed to mate seamlessly with a corresponding female coupler, creating a gas-tight seal that can be engaged or disengaged in seconds without the need for wrenches. This capability significantly reduces setup and teardown time for mobile welding operations and minimizes the mechanical wear on regulator outlet threads that typically occurs with frequent threaded connections. The internal geometry is optimized to maintain flow rates suitable for cutting, heating, and welding applications, ensuring that the convenience of a quick connect does not compromise the performance of the torch.
