The Miller 274191 is a high-quality replacement rocker switch designed specifically for Miller welding equipment. As a genuine OEM component, it ensures that your machinery maintains the safety and performance standards established by the manufacturer. This switch features a Double Pole Single Throw (DPST) configuration, which is commonly used to switch two circuit lines simultaneously—often the live and neutral lines in AC power applications—providing a complete isolation of the circuit when in the ‘Off’ position. This configuration is critical for the safe operation of high-powered industrial equipment.

Electrically, the switch is rated for 20 Amperes at 277 Volts AC. This robust rating allows it to handle the significant inrush currents and continuous loads often associated with welding power sources and auxiliary industrial devices. The 277VAC rating provides a substantial safety margin for equipment operating on standard 120V, 208V, or 240V single-phase power grids. The switch is engineered to withstand the rigors of a workshop environment, featuring a durable internal mechanism capable of enduring thousands of actuation cycles.

Physically, the unit sports a standard black rocker actuator that fits seamlessly into the control panels of various Miller machines. It utilizes a panel-mount design, typically employing snap-in retention tabs that grip the panel cutout securely without the need for external screws or hardware. This design facilitates quick and efficient maintenance turnarounds, minimizing downtime in production environments. When replacing electrical components like the 274191, it is essential to verify the specific part number against your machine’s parts manual to ensure correct fitment and electrical compatibility.
