The Miller 273219 Split Pigskin Welding Jacket in Size 5XL is engineered to provide superior protection and comfort for professional welders requiring a larger fit. When dealing with high-heat applications and heavy spatter, the quality of your personal protective equipment (PPE) is paramount. This jacket utilizes premium split pigskin leather, a material chosen specifically for its unique properties in industrial environments. Unlike standard cowhide, pigskin offers exceptional resistance to oil and water, ensuring the jacket remains pliable and comfortable even after months of rigorous use. It resists the stiffening often associated with leather that has been exposed to sweat or moisture, making it a long-lasting investment for your safety gear arsenal.<\/p>\n
Comfort is a major focus of this design. Welding in heavy leathers can often lead to overheating, but Miller has addressed this with a full polyester mesh lining. This breathable layer prevents the rough leather from rubbing directly against the skin or underlayers and promotes airflow to keep the operator cooler during long shifts. The design also features “expandable” leather sections strategically placed around the shoulders and underarms. This innovation allows for a greater range of motion, enabling welders to reach difficult angles and work overhead without the jacket riding up or restricting movement.<\/p>\n
