The Miller 273212 Split Pigskin Leather Welding Jacket (Size Small) is engineered for professional welders and industrial environments where durability and comfort are paramount. Unlike standard cowhide alternatives, this jacket utilizes premium split pigskin leather. This material selection is critical for MRO applications as pigskin naturally offers superior resistance to oils and water, preventing the material from stiffening or cracking over time. This ensures a longer service life in harsh shop environments where exposure to fluids and heavy spatter is common.

Safety is the core of the Miller 273212 design. The jacket is sewn entirely with Kevlar® thread, a high-strength aramid fiber that resists heat and prevents seam failure even under intense thermal cycling. The design includes an extra-high, lined welder’s collar to provide critical protection for the neck against arc rays and flying sparks. Additionally, an extended rear tail offers enhanced coverage for the lower back, ensuring protection when bending or working in out-of-position welds.

Productivity in industrial settings is directly linked to operator comfort. This jacket features an “expandable” leather design strategically placed in the shoulder and arm areas, allowing for a full range of motion without the restriction often felt in heavy leather apparel. A full mesh lining runs throughout the interior, creating an air gap that facilitates heat dissipation and prevents the leather from sticking to the operator’s skin. For utility, the jacket is equipped with three pockets—one internal and two sleeve pockets—providing secure storage for soapstone, markers, and small tools.
