The Miller 267576 Thermostat Assembly is a critical safety component designed for specific Miller welding power sources. As a genuine OEM part, it meets the exact specifications required to protect your industrial equipment from thermal overload. This assembly features a Normally Closed (NC) switch configuration, which allows current to flow during normal operation but interrupts the circuit when specific temperature thresholds are exceeded.

Engineered for precision, this thermostat is calibrated to open at 203°F (95°C). This specific trigger point is selected to prevent internal components, such as the main transformer or rectifier assembly, from reaching temperatures that could cause insulation failure or permanent damage. Once the cooling system—typically the fan—has reduced the internal temperature to a safe operating level of 173°F (78°C), the switch automatically closes, resetting the circuit and allowing the machine to resume operation.

The assembly comes pre-wired with leads, simplifying the replacement process for maintenance technicians. Using authentic Miller parts like the 267576 ensures that the thermal characteristics of the protection device match the thermal dynamics of the welder, preventing nuisance tripping or, conversely, failure to trip during an actual overheat event. Maintaining the integrity of your welder’s thermal protection system is essential for long-term reliability and safety in demanding industrial environments.
