The Miller Weld-Mask Auto-Darkening Goggles (267370) represent a significant shift in personal protective equipment for industrial environments, specifically designed to address the challenges of welding in restricted access areas. Traditional welding helmets, while effective, often possess a bulk and profile that prohibits their use in tight quarters found in shipboard maintenance, automotive repair, and complex industrial piping installations. The Weld-Mask solves this by condensing high-performance auto-darkening technology into a compact, goggle-style form factor that sits close to the face, drastically reducing the spatial envelope required for the operator.

Technically, the unit is robust, offering a versatile range of shade options including #5, #7, #9, #11, and #13. This wide spectrum ensures suitability for multiple processes, from gas welding and cutting to MIG, TIG, and Stick welding. The optical system is driven by two independent arc sensors that trigger the lens darkening in 1/15,000 of a second, ensuring immediate protection from arc flash. With a TIG rating of 20 Amps, it is sensitive enough for stable low-amperage work. The light state of #3 provides clear visibility for setup and inspection tasks without removing the goggles, enhancing workflow efficiency.

Ergonomics play a central role in the Weld-Mask’s engineering. Weighing only 11.8 oz (345.4 g), it is significantly lighter than standard auto-darkening helmets, which helps mitigate operator fatigue and neck strain during prolonged use. The design incorporates a tight-fitting eye covering made from soft, pliable materials that conform to the face, effectively blocking out ambient light—a critical feature when working outdoors or in brightly lit facilities. Furthermore, the slim profile allows the Weld-Mask to be worn comfortably under standard hard hats without the need for cumbersome adapters, maintaining compliance with site safety regulations regarding head protection. The included flame-retardant head cover ensures comprehensive protection against UV/IR rays and light spatter, meeting ANSI, CSA, CE, and AS NZ safety standards.

Miller© Auto-Darkening Weld-Mask.

Extreme low-profile design allows users to weld in spaces where access with traditional welding helmets is limited.
[2019,2018

post-1775723","product","type-product","status-publish","endorsed-aluminum-fab-shop","endorsed-autobody-shop","endorsed-carbon-steel-fab-shop","endorsed-construction-demolition-shop","endorsed-home-shop","endorsed-mechanical-contractor","endorsed-red-seal","endorsed-stainless-steel-fab-shop","endorsed-tool-die-shop","product_cat-welding-helmets-papr-helmets","product_cat-welding-helmets-papr-accessories","pa_brand-miller","pa_grind-function-n-a","pa_lense-type-adf-autoshade","pa_lense-type-adf-autoshade-2","pa_packaging-description-1-per-each","pa_packaging-description-1-per-each-2","pa_papr-no","pa_shade-range-2849","pa_shade-range-67599","pa_shade-range-39605","pa_shade-range-5-13","pa_shade-range-67598","pa_shade-range-2848","first","onbackorder","virtual","taxable","purchasable","product-type-simple
