The Miller 249387 O-Ring is a critical replacement component designed to maintain the integrity of fluid and gas systems within Miller welding power sources. Manufactured from high-grade Nitrile (Buna-N) rubber, this O-ring offers a robust solution for sealing connections against leakage. Nitrile is the industry standard for general-purpose sealing due to its excellent resistance to petroleum-based oils, fuels, water, and hydraulic fluids. This specific formulation ensures that the seal remains pliable yet durable even when exposed to the harsh contaminants often found in industrial welding environments.<\/p>\n
With a hardness rating of 90 Durometer (Shore A), this O-ring is harder than standard 70-durometer seals. This increased hardness provides significant advantages, particularly in applications involving higher pressures or where the gap between mating surfaces might allow a softer seal to extrude. The 90-durometer rating ensures the O-ring retains its shape and sealing force, resisting wear and abrasion over extended periods of use. It is engineered to withstand the mechanical stresses associated with pressurized tube fittings.<\/p>\n
