The Miller Classic Cloth Cape Sleeve (Large) is a premium flame-resistant garment designed to provide upper body protection during light-duty welding and metalworking applications. Manufactured by Miller Electric, a leader in arc welding safety, this cape sleeve is constructed from 9 oz. preshrunk cotton, chemically treated to resist flames and sparks. The fabric is lightweight and breathable, making it an excellent choice for welders working in warmer environments where heavy leather would be uncomfortable.<\/p>\n
This specific model, the 247140, is sized Large and features a “Barracuda” style stand-up collar that offers enhanced protection for the neck against arc rays and flying debris. The cape design covers the shoulders, upper chest, and arms, allowing for maximum mobility while keeping vital areas shielded. It is designed to be used in conjunction with a detachable bib (sold separately) for full torso coverage, or worn alone when only upper body protection is required. The navy blue color hides dirt and grime, maintaining a professional appearance over time.<\/p>\n
