The Miller WeldX Performance Welding Jacket in 5X-Large (SKU: 247121) is engineered to provide professional welders with a superior alternative to traditional heavy leather garments. This high-performance jacket utilizes Miller’s proprietary WeldX fabric, a 7-ounce material strategically placed on the front and sleeves where exposure to sparks and spatter is highest. WeldX is designed to repel molten metal and resist burning, melting, or shrinking, ensuring robust protection in demanding industrial environments. By replacing full leather construction with this advanced fabric, the jacket offers significant weight reduction without compromising safety standards.<\/p>\n
To further enhance comfort during long shifts, the back of the jacket is constructed from 9-ounce flame-resistant Navy cotton. This hybrid design approach not only lowers the overall weight to approximately 1 lb 14 oz but also incorporates a vented back system. This feature promotes air circulation, allowing body heat to escape and keeping the wearer cooler than standard non-vented jackets. The garment is also lined in the sleeves for additional protection and durability, ensuring it withstands the rigors of daily use.<\/p>\n
