The Miller WeldX Performance Welding Jacket (SKU: 247119) represents a significant advancement in personal protective equipment (PPE) for industrial welding applications. Engineered to bridge the gap between heavy leather protection and lightweight cloth comfort, this jacket utilizes Miller’s proprietary WeldX fabric. The front and sleeves are constructed from 7 oz. WeldX material, a high-performance compound designed to repel sparks, spatter, and molten metal with the efficacy of leather but with a fraction of the weight. This material is inherently flame-resistant and will not burn, melt, ignite, or shrink under normal welding conditions.

To address thermal regulation, the back of the jacket is fabricated from 9 oz. flame-resistant Navy cotton. This hybrid construction ensures that the areas most exposed to the arc receive maximum protection, while the back panel facilitates heat dissipation. Further enhancing airflow is a specifically designed vented back, which reduces heat stress during prolonged operation. The garment also features lined sleeves, providing a dual layer of defense against thermal transfer and physical abrasion.

Construction details emphasize durability and safety. The jacket features a zipper closure system shielded by a Velcro storm flap, preventing spark intrusion through the fastening mechanism. A Barracuda-style stand-up collar offers critical coverage for the neck area, shielding against UV radiation and flying debris. The garment is assembled with reinforced stitching and finished hems to withstand the rigors of industrial environments. Notably, the WeldX jacket is a chromium-free alternative to traditional leather, simplifying disposal protocols and reducing environmental impact. It is pre-shrunk and machine washable, allowing for easy decontamination and maintenance without compromising its flame-resistant properties.

WeldX Jacket, 3XLMiller® Exclusive Material Exceeds Standard FR Cotton Protection Without the Weight of Leather
[1970,1971

post-1773101","product","type-product","status-publish","product_cat-gloves-leather-sleeves-aprons","product_cat-gloves-leathers-sleeves-aprons","pa_item-jacket","pa_material-cotton","pa_material-fire-resistant-cotton-2","pa_packaging-description-1-of-1","pa_packaging-description-1-per-each-2","pa_size-3xl","first","onbackorder","taxable","shipping-taxable","purchasable","product-type-simple
