When your industrial welding equipment goes down, production stops. The Miller 247046 Circuit Card Assembly, Arc Starter is the genuine OEM solution to get your compatible Miller power source back in fighting shape. This printed circuit board (PCB) is the brain behind the high-frequency (HF) start function in specific Miller TIG and welding machines. If you are experiencing inconsistent arc starts, missing high frequency, or complete failure to initiate an arc without touching the tungsten, a faulty arc starter board is often the culprit.

Replacing internal electronics with generic or used parts can be a gamble that risks further damage to your expensive equipment. By choosing this authentic Miller 247046 board, you are ensuring that the voltage regulation, timing, and signal processing match the exact engineering specifications of your machine. This board is built to withstand the electrical noise and thermal fluctuations common in heavy-duty welding environments, providing a long-lasting repair that you can trust.

Why is the Arc Starter Critical?

In TIG welding, particularly with aluminum or precision stainless steel, a non-contact start is essential to prevent tungsten contamination. The arc starter circuit generates the high-voltage impulse needed to bridge the gap between the electrode and the workpiece. When this component fails, operators are forced to resort to scratch starting or lift-arc methods which may not be suitable for all applications. Installing a fresh 247046 assembly restores that crisp, instant ignition welders love.
