The Miller 246753 is a specialized 34 VDC gas solenoid valve kit designed as a direct OEM replacement for specific Miller welding power sources. This component is critical for the automated control of shielding gas flow during the welding process (MIG or TIG). It is engineered to replace the discontinued Miller part number 216395, offering updated reliability while maintaining exact physical and electrical compatibility with the original equipment.<\/p>\n
Electrically, the valve actuates upon receiving a 34-volt DC signal from the welder’s control board, opening the diaphragm to allow inert gas to flow through to the torch. Failure of this component typically results in a lack of gas coverage (porosity) or gas leaking continuously when the machine is idle. The kit includes the solenoid body and the specific mounting nut required to secure the valve to the machine chassis or gas manifold assembly.<\/p>\n
