The Miller 246403 Module, WCC Power Supply is a critical internal component designed to bridge the gap between high-voltage AC input and low-voltage DC control logic. In modern welding power sources, the stability of the control circuitry is paramount for maintaining arc consistency, wire feed speed accuracy, and overall machine safety. This specific module is engineered to step down and rectify a 24VAC input into a clean, regulated 12VDC output, which is typically utilized to power logic boards, sensors, and user interface panels within the machine.

When repairing industrial equipment, the integrity of the replacement part determines the longevity of the repair. The Miller 246403 is a Genuine Miller Electric OEM part. Unlike aftermarket generic power converters, this module is built to withstand the harsh electrical noise, thermal fluctuations, and vibration inherent in industrial welding environments. Using authentic Miller parts ensures that the voltage regulation remains within the tight tolerances required by the machine’s microprocessor, preventing phantom errors or intermittent failures that can plague equipment using inferior components.

This power supply module is often found in the control topology of specific Miller wire feeders or power sources (verify fitment via serial number). It acts as a localized power supply, often taking auxiliary power from the main transformer and conditioning it for sensitive electronics. Failure of this module can result in a “dead” machine interface, failure to initiate an arc, or loss of specific control functions, even if the main power input is active. Replacing a faulty WCC module with the 246403 restores the vital DC bus required for machine intelligence.

Genuine OEM Reliability
