The Miller 246259 Negative Battery Cable is a critical replacement component designed to restore the reliability of your welding equipment’s starting system. Over time, battery cables can suffer from corrosion, insulation breakdown, and physical damage due to the harsh environments in which welders operate. A compromised ground connection is a leading cause of starting failures, intermittent electrical issues, and poor charging performance. This genuine Miller Electric part is engineered to exact factory specifications, ensuring that your machine starts reliably every time you turn the key.

Constructed from high-quality 4 AWG copper wire, this cable provides the necessary conductivity to handle the high amperage draw of starter motors without significant voltage drop. The cable measures 20 inches in length, making it the perfect fit for specific Miller engine-driven welder chassis configurations without leaving excess slack that could rub against moving parts or hot surfaces. The durable outer insulation jacket is formulated to withstand exposure to oil, fuel, grease, and the abrasion typical of industrial jobsites, protecting the copper strands from the elements.

One end of the cable features a precision-crimped 0.375-inch (3/8″) ring terminal, designed to fit standard negative battery posts or grounding points securely. The factory crimp offers superior mechanical strength and electrical continuity compared to field-repaired cables. By choosing this OEM part, you eliminate the guesswork of sizing generic cables and ensure that your welder maintains the electrical integrity it was designed with. Whether you are performing routine maintenance or troubleshooting a starting issue, the Miller 246259 is the professional choice for restoring your equipment’s power foundation.

Key Benefits of OEM Battery Cables
