The Miller 243385 Gun Tube Assembly is the specific replacement head tube designed for the Spoolmate 200 Series spool guns. As a critical component of the MIG welding system, the gun tube (often referred to as the gooseneck or barrel) channels both the welding wire and the shielding gas to the contact tip. Over time, these tubes can become clogged with spatter, damaged by excessive heat, or bent during rigorous industrial use. Replacing a compromised tube is essential for maintaining the laminar gas flow required for high-quality aluminum welding.

This assembly measures 5 inches in length and is engineered to handle the Spoolmate 200’s maximum output of 160 Amps. It supports a wire diameter range of .023″ to .035″, covering the standard aluminum wire sizes used with this gun. The tube is manufactured to Miller’s strict tolerances, ensuring a perfect seal with the gun body to prevent gas leaks that could lead to porosity in the weld. It serves as the conductive path for the welding current and provides the structural support for the nozzle and contact tip assembly.
