The Miller 241209 Swing Arm Damper Plate is a critical replacement component designed for industrial fume extraction systems. Specifically engineered for 8-inch diameter swing arms, this damper plate serves as the primary mechanism for regulating air volume through the extraction arm. By adjusting the damper, operators can control the suction intensity at the hood or completely shut off airflow to specific arms when they are not in use, thereby optimizing the efficiency of the central vacuum system.

Manufactured by Miller Electric, this part meets strict OEM specifications for fit and performance. In fume extraction setups, the damper plate is subject to constant adjustment and exposure to particulate-laden air, which can lead to wear over time. Replacing a damaged or loose damper plate is essential for maintaining the static pressure balance of the system and ensuring that hazardous welding fumes are effectively captured at the source. This component is compatible with select Miller swing arm assemblies used in conjunction with Filtair and other extraction units.
