The Miller 237540 is a high-quality, genuine OEM rocker switch designed specifically for use within Miller Electric welding power sources and associated industrial equipment. As a critical component in the electrical control system of your machinery, this switch is engineered to meet the rigorous standards required for heavy-duty welding environments. It features a Double Pole Single Throw (DPST) configuration, which allows it to control two separate circuits simultaneously while having a single ‘On’ and ‘Off’ position. This specific configuration is essential for the safe isolation of power in many single-phase welding units.

Electrically, the switch is rated for 16 Amperes at 115 Volts AC. This robust rating ensures it can handle the initial inrush currents often associated with powering up transformers and inverter-based welding machines without premature failure or contact welding. One of the standout features of this model is its red illumination. The internal light provides immediate visual feedback to the operator, indicating when the machine is energized. This is a vital safety feature in busy industrial workshops where noise levels are high, and visual cues are necessary to determine the status of equipment from a distance.

Using genuine Miller replacement parts like the 237540 ensures that the fit, finish, and electrical specifications match the original engineering design of your welder. Aftermarket switches may not possess the same thermal resistance or mechanical durability required to withstand the vibration, dust, and thermal cycling common in welding operations. Installation of this component restores the original functionality of the machine’s power interface, ensuring reliable startup and shutdown procedures. Maintenance professionals rely on OEM parts to minimize downtime and maintain the safety certification of the equipment.
