The Miller 236780 is a specialized Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) designed to replace the logic control board responsible for Trigger Hold and Burnback functions in compatible Miller welding power sources. As a genuine OEM component, this circuit board ensures that your equipment operates according to the manufacturer’s original specifications, maintaining the integrity of your welding processes and the safety of the operator. Circuit boards are the nervous system of modern welding machines, and the 236780 specifically manages the timing and logic associated with the end of the weld cycle and extended welding operations.

This assembly controls two primary functions: Trigger Hold and Burnback. The Trigger Hold function allows the operator to release the gun trigger during long welds while the machine continues to output power and wire, significantly reducing operator fatigue during continuous welding applications. The Burnback function is critical for arc termination; it controls the brief period where the arc remains energized after the wire feed stops, burning the wire back to a specific length to prevent it from freezing in the weld puddle. Failure of this card can result in erratic trigger behavior, wire sticking, or the inability to latch the trigger for long runs.

Important Ordering Information: Due to the sensitive nature of electronic components, this item is non-returnable. It is imperative that you verify fitment for your specific machine using your serial number before purchasing. Installation by a Certified Miller Technician is highly recommended to ensure proper diagnosis and to avoid damaging the new component. If you are unsure if this is the correct part for your machine, please consult the parts manual for your specific serial number or contact technical support for verification.
