The Miller 231914 is a specialized plastic elbow fitting designed for use within Miller welding power sources and auxiliary equipment. As a genuine OEM component, it ensures strict adherence to the manufacturer’s specifications for pressure tolerance and material compatibility. This fitting features a 90-degree elbow geometry, facilitating the routing of gas or coolant lines within the compact internal spaces of welding machinery where straight connections are not feasible.

A key technical characteristic of this component is its function as an adapter between two distinct measurement standards. One port accepts standard 1/4-inch Outer Diameter (OD) tubing, while the other port is sized for 6mm OD tubing. This imperial-to-metric adaptation is critical for integrating various subsystems within globalized equipment designs. The connection mechanism is a Quick Disconnect (QDISC) or push-to-connect style, which utilizes an internal collet and O-ring system to grip the tubing securely while maintaining a leak-proof seal.

Constructed from high-grade industrial plastic, the fitting offers resistance to corrosion and chemical degradation from common welding gases and cooling fluids. The push-in design significantly reduces maintenance downtime by eliminating the need for threading, sealants, or hose clamps. It is engineered to withstand the typical vibration and thermal cycling found in industrial welding environments.
