The Miller 231517 Head Tube Assembly is a genuine OEM replacement part designed specifically for Miller’s advanced push-pull welding gun systems. This assembly is engineered to fit the XR-Aluma-Pro and XR-Pistol-Pro water-cooled MIG guns. As a critical component in the welding torch assembly, this head tube (often referred to as a gooseneck) facilitates the transfer of welding current, shielding gas, and wire to the contact tip while maintaining the necessary cooling to prevent overheating during heavy industrial use.

Constructed with precision, the 231517 features a 45-degree bend angle and a 6-inch length. This configuration is widely regarded as the standard for general aluminum fabrication, providing operators with a comfortable working angle and sufficient reach for most joint configurations. The water-cooled design is essential for high-amperage applications, ensuring that the front-end consumables remain cool, which extends their lifespan and maintains consistent arc performance.

At Josef Gas, we understand the importance of using genuine Miller parts to maintain the integrity of your welding equipment. This head tube assembly ensures a leak-proof connection with the gun body’s coolant lines and proper electrical conductivity. It is ideal for industrial environments where equipment reliability and uptime are paramount. Whether you are repairing a damaged gun or configuring a new setup for specific production needs, the Miller 231517 provides the quality and durability expected from Miller Electric.
