The Miller 231167 Carbon Brush is a critical component designed for specific 40V applications within Miller welding equipment. Carbon brushes play a vital role in the electrical system of motors and generators, serving as the contact point that conducts current between stationary wires and moving parts, typically the rotating shaft. Over time, friction and electrical erosion cause these brushes to wear down, making their timely replacement essential for the continued operation of your machinery.

Constructed from high-grade carbon materials, this OEM part is engineered to provide the correct balance of conductivity and durability. Using non-OEM or incorrect brushes can lead to excessive sparking, unstable power output, or even physical damage to the commutator, resulting in costly repairs. The Miller 231167 ensures that the electrical connection remains stable, allowing your welding power source to deliver the consistent arc characteristics required for precision work.

Regular inspection of carbon brushes is a standard aspect of industrial maintenance. When brushes wear below a certain length, the spring pressure decreases, leading to poor contact and potential arcing. By replacing worn brushes with this genuine Miller 40V unit, you restore the efficiency of the motor or generator assembly. This part is supplied as a single unit, allowing maintenance teams to order the exact quantity required for their specific service intervals.
