The Miller 228681 Exhaust Engine Muffler is a critical replacement component designed specifically for the main assembly of Kohler engines found in select Miller and Hobart welder-generators. As an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) part, it guarantees precise fitment and adherence to the factory specifications for backpressure and noise attenuation. Maintaining a functional exhaust system is vital not only for operator comfort by reducing decibel levels but also for the longevity of the engine itself, ensuring exhaust gases are efficiently expelled to prevent overheating and performance degradation.<\/p>\n
This muffler is engineered to withstand the rigorous vibration and thermal cycling inherent in industrial welding environments. It is compatible with a range of popular engine-driven welders, including the Bobcat 225 and 250 series, as well as the Trailblazer 275 DC and 302 models equipped with Kohler power plants. It also fits the Hobart Champion Elite (Kohler version). Please note that the mounting gasket (part number 189477) is not included with this assembly and should be inspected or purchased separately to ensure a leak-free installation.<\/p>\n
