The Miller 221391 Cover is a specialized weatherproof receptacle cover designed for single-gang GFCI outlets found on select Miller welding generators and power sources. As an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) component, this part is engineered to meet the exact dimensional and material specifications required by Miller Electric for their heavy-duty equipment. In industrial environments, the integrity of auxiliary power outlets is critical not only for the operation of external tools but also for the safety of the operator and the longevity of the machine’s electrical system. This cover provides a robust barrier against environmental ingress, effectively sealing the receptacle face when not in use.

Constructed from high-impact, durable materials, the 221391 cover is built to withstand the rigors of field work, including exposure to UV radiation, temperature fluctuations, and physical impact. The “weatherproof” designation indicates that the design incorporates features to shed water and prevent the accumulation of dust and debris that could otherwise compromise the Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) mechanism. A compromised GFCI outlet can lead to nuisance tripping or complete failure of the auxiliary power circuit, leading to downtime. By utilizing this genuine replacement part, maintenance personnel ensure that the machine retains its original protective rating and operates within safety compliance standards.

This specific unit is tailored for a “Single Gang” configuration, which is the standard size for a single duplex or GFCI outlet box. It is specifically molded to accommodate the rectangular face of a GFCI device, ensuring a proper seal around the perimeter. When replacing damaged or missing covers, it is imperative to verify fitment using the machine’s serial number, as Miller utilizes various outlet configurations across their product lines. Installing the correct cover is a simple yet vital maintenance task that preserves the functionality of the welder’s generator capabilities.
