This component is critical for the electrical management of the welding arc, specifically allowing the operator to switch between Alternating Current (AC) and Direct Current (DC) outputs. Maintaining the integrity of the polarity switch is essential for processes that require specific current characteristics, such as TIG welding aluminum (AC) versus steel (DC).

As an original equipment manufacturer part, this assembly guarantees a precise fit and adherence to Miller’s strict electrical standards. It replaces worn or faulty switches that may cause the machine to be stuck in one polarity mode or fail to output current entirely. The assembly is built to withstand the thermal and mechanical stresses typical of industrial welding environments, ensuring long-term reliability and safety.

Installation of the 220491 restores the full versatility of the welding machine, ensuring that weld parameters can be adjusted according to the base material and electrode requirements. Professional installation is recommended to ensure proper electrical connections and safety compliance.

Miller 220491 Polarity AC/DC Switch Assembly The Miller 220491 is a genuine OEM Polarity Switch Assembly designed for compatible Miller welding power sources.
