The Miller 218601 is a specialized replacement hose designed for the internal pneumatic or fluid management systems of Miller welding power sources and wire feeders. Manufactured from Nylon 12, this tubing offers a distinct balance of properties suitable for industrial environments. Nylon 12 is known for its low moisture absorption compared to other polyamides, which ensures dimensional stability and consistent physical properties even in humid workshop conditions. This specific hose features a 3\/8-inch Outer Diameter (OD), a standard size for many push-to-connect fittings and barb connections used within Miller’s equipment architecture.<\/p>\n
The hose is supplied in a 36-inch length (36.000Lg), providing sufficient material for routing through the chassis of various machine models. Its red coloration is not merely aesthetic but serves as a coding standard, typically designating specific lines such as shielding gas or water cooling loops, facilitating easier maintenance and troubleshooting for technicians. The material exhibits excellent resistance to abrasion, fatigue, and a wide range of chemicals, including oils and solvents often found in MRO environments. When replacing internal lines, utilizing the correct material specification is critical to maintaining the pressure ratings and safety standards of the welding equipment.<\/p>\n
