The Miller 217932 is a specialized Rocker Switch designed for use within the control circuits of Miller welding equipment. This component is a Single Pole Single Throw (SPST) switch, a fundamental configuration used to connect or disconnect a single circuit. It is engineered to handle specific low-voltage applications, with a rating of 0.4 Volt-Amperes (VA) at 28 Volts Direct Current (VDC). This precise rating indicates that the switch is intended for logic-level or control-level signals rather than high-amperage power switching, making it a critical component for the internal electronics of your welder.

The switch features an “On-None-Off” function, providing a simple binary state for the operator or the machine’s internal logic. Physically, the unit is equipped with 0.187-inch terminals, a standard size for quick-connect slide-on connectors, facilitating straightforward replacement without the need for soldering in most applications. Using genuine Miller parts like the 217932 ensures that the physical dimensions, mounting snap-in size, and electrical characteristics align perfectly with the original engineering of your power source.

Maintenance professionals understand that using the correct switch is vital for the longevity of the machine. An incorrect voltage rating or contact resistance can lead to intermittent faults or control board failures. This OEM part guarantees that the contact materials and spring mechanisms are designed to withstand the vibration and environmental conditions typical of industrial welding sites. Whether you are repairing a MIG runner, a TIG power source, or a wire feeder, verifying the part number 217932 in your service manual ensures you are installing the correct component for the job.
