The Miller 217888 is a specialized Control, Push/Pull Snap-In assembly designed for use with Miller Electric’s advanced wire feeding systems. This component is critical for the proper operation of push-pull MIG guns, which are commonly employed in applications requiring the feeding of soft wires such as aluminum over long distances. The part is engineered to meet strict OEM specifications, ensuring seamless integration with existing equipment.

This control assembly features a precise length specification of 48.000 (typically inches) and includes a 1.750 extension. The “Snap-In” designation refers to the connection mechanism, designed to facilitate quick installation and secure retention within the gun or feeder assembly. As a genuine Miller part, it guarantees the dimensional accuracy required for the internal mechanisms of high-performance welding guns.

Push-pull systems rely on synchronized mechanics to feed wire without buckling or bird-nesting. The 217888 Control plays a vital role in this mechanical chain. It is recommended to verify fitment using the serial number of your welding machine or wire feeder, as Miller produces various configurations of push-pull guns (such as the XR series, AlumaPro, or Python guns) that may utilize specific control lengths and types.

Technical Specifications
