The RH-12A is a specialized single-line gas hose designed exclusively for the transport of Acetylene gas in light-duty welding and brazing applications. Distinguished by its fittings, this assembly utilizes “A” size connections with 3\/8″-24 threads, which are significantly smaller than the standard “B” fittings (9\/16″-18) found on medium-to-heavy duty equipment. This specification is critical for compatibility with precision torches, aircraft-style torches, and jewelry manufacturing setups where weight and maneuverability are paramount.<\/p>\n
Constructed with a 3\/16-inch internal diameter, the hose maintains adequate flow rates for small tips while minimizing bulk. The hose material is Grade R, chemically formulated to resist the specific properties of Acetylene gas. It is color-coded red in accordance with industry safety standards to prevent cross-connection with oxygen lines. The 12.5-foot length offers a strategic balance between reach and manageability, making it ideal for fixed bench stations or portable tote kits where excess hose length can become a safety hazard.<\/p>\n
