The inclusion of cadmium significantly depresses the liquidus temperature, allowing for brazing at lower heat inputs compared to cadmium-free alternatives. This characteristic is critical when joining base metals susceptible to grain growth or heat distortion.<\/p>\n<p>The alloy is engineered for general-purpose applications involving ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including steel, stainless steel, copper, and brass. One of its defining technical attributes is its ability to bridge larger joint clearances (loose fit-ups) better than more fluid alloys like Easy-Flo 45. While it flows freely, it has a slightly wider plastic range that assists in capping fillets on joints with imperfect tolerances.
