This component corresponds directly to the OEM part number 145.0085. It features a conical geometry, which is the standard configuration for general-purpose fabrication, offering a balance between gas flow volume and accessibility to the weld pool.

The nozzle has a 16mm bore diameter at the outlet. This size is optimized for medium-to-heavy duty welding applications where adequate gas coverage is critical to prevent porosity, yet the nozzle remains narrow enough to maneuver in standard fillet welds. Constructed from a durable copper alloy, the nozzle is designed to withstand the high thermal loads associated with air-cooled and water-cooled MIG processes. The surface is treated to resist spatter adhesion, prolonging the service life of the consumable and reducing downtime required for cleaning.

Proper maintenance of the gas nozzle is essential for consistent weld quality. As a front-end consumable, this nozzle directs the shielding gas around the contact tip and weld puddle. Its precise fitment ensures a concentric gas shield, minimizing turbulence and the risk of atmospheric contamination. This generic replacement offers industrial-grade performance suitable for MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) environments and production welding lines utilizing Binzel-style equipment.

Technical Overview of the 145.0085 Conical Nozzle The GEN145.0085 is a precision-manufactured replacement gas nozzle designed to fit Binzel-style MIG welding torches, specifically the MB 26 KD, MB 401 D, and MB 501 D series.
