The Fibre-Metal 4178DGN is a premium-grade replacement face shield window designed specifically for industrial environments requiring both impact protection and glare reduction. Manufactured from high-quality propionate, this window is injection molded rather than die-cut. This manufacturing process ensures superior optical clarity by eliminating the distortion often found in standard acetate windows, allowing operators to work with precision and reduced eye fatigue over long shifts.

This model features a Dark Green tint, which is engineered to filter out excessive glare and bright light often encountered in metalworking, light gas cutting, or outdoor industrial applications. The window measures approximately 8 inches by 16.5 inches, providing a wide field of view and extensive facial coverage. With a thickness of 0.060 inches, it offers substantial resistance to high-velocity impact, flying debris, and chemical splashes, meeting the rigorous requirements of ANSI Z87.1+ and CSA Z94.3 safety standards.

The 4178DGN is pre-formed to the exact curvature of Fibre-Metal’s High Performance crown protectors, specifically the F-400 and F-500 series. This precise engineering ensures a tight seal between the window and the headgear, effectively preventing dust, dirt, and sparks from bypassing the shield from above. The propionate material also exhibits better dimensional stability and chemical resistance compared to traditional materials, making it a durable choice for harsh MRO environments.

Installation is straightforward, utilizing the standard mounting points found on compatible Fibre-Metal headgear. This allows safety managers and technicians to quickly swap out damaged or pitted windows, maintaining compliance and safety without significant downtime. Whether used for grinding, chipping, or general facility maintenance, the 4178DGN provides a reliable barrier against occupational hazards.

Faceshield Window- Fibre-Metal® 4178 Dark Green.

Wide vision faceshield window.

Most popular size window protects maximum face area without affecting movement.

Injection molded from propionate, which is superior to other window materials in every significant performance characteristic.

Faceshields must always be worn over goggles or safety glasses.
[2016,2015

post-1761040","product","type-product","status-publish","product_cat-face-shields-specs-and-goggles","product_cat-head-mouth-face-safety","pa_brand-fibremetal","pa_inner-or-outer-lense-n-a","pa_item-faceshield","pa_lense-size-8x17","pa_lense-type-passive","pa_material-propionate","pa_packaging-description-1-per-each","pa_shade-or-magnifier-green","pa_thickness-0-060","first","instock","taxable","shipping-taxable","purchasable","product-type-simple
