This specific unit is a Size 0 nozzle, calibrated for use with Acetylene gas. It is engineered to interface seamlessly with Victor 100 Series torch handles (and compatible aftermarket equivalents), utilizing a standard connection that ensures a secure, leak-proof seal via double O-rings.

The nozzle features a one-piece construction, integrating the tip and mixer into a single assembly. This design eliminates the need for separate mixers, reducing inventory complexity and ensuring the correct fuel-to-oxygen ratio is maintained for the specific tip size. The Size 0 orifice is precision-drilled to produce a soft, concentrated flame suitable for welding light-gauge sheet metal (typically up to 1/32 inch or 0.8mm) and for delicate brazing or soldering operations. The copper construction provides excellent heat dissipation, minimizing the risk of flashback and extending the service life of the tip under thermal cycling.

Technicians should note that this “MF HEAD” (Multi-Flame/Mixer Head) configuration is optimized for general purpose welding and brazing. It is not intended for use with alternate fuel gases such as Propane or Propylene, which require specific injector-style nozzles or different tip geometries. Proper gas pressure settings should be consulted in the Victor 100 series charts to ensure optimal flame characteristics and safety.

Technical Overview: Esab W-17 / W-1 Style Welding Nozzle The Esab W-17 (comparable to Victor W-1 style) welding nozzle is a precision-engineered consumable designed for medium-duty oxy-fuel applications.
