The Esab 0558009340 is a high-performance plasma cutting nozzle designed specifically for systems utilizing water injection technology. With a precise orifice diameter of 4.0mm (0.156 inches), this nozzle is engineered to handle the rigorous demands of heavy industrial fabrication. Water injection plasma cutting is a distinct process where water is introduced radially into the arc, creating a tight constriction that significantly increases the energy density of the plasma stream. This results in superior cut quality with reduced bevel angles and minimal dross accumulation.

Manufactured to Esab’s exacting OEM standards, these nozzles ensure seamless compatibility with torches such as the PT-15 and PT-19XLS. The use of water not only improves the cut characteristics but also provides efficient cooling directly at the nozzle bore, which is the area most susceptible to heat damage. This cooling effect extends the service life of the consumable, reducing downtime for changeovers and lowering overall operating costs in high-volume production environments.

This product is supplied in a pack of 5, ensuring you have adequate stock for continuous operation. It is essential to match the nozzle orifice size to the specific amperage and material thickness settings of your machine to maintain optimal performance and safety. The 4.0mm size is typically utilized for higher amperage ranges, suitable for cutting thicker sections of mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
