The ESAB 0558004461 is a high-performance electrode designed specifically for the PT-600 plasma cutting torch system. Engineered to handle substantial electrical loads, this electrode is rated for 250 Amps, making it an essential component for heavy-duty industrial cutting applications. The electrode serves as the primary emitter of the plasma arc, transferring the electrical current to the gas to create the high-temperature plasma stream required for cutting thick metal plates.

Manufactured to ESAB’s rigorous OEM standards, these electrodes feature a high-quality hafnium insert embedded within a copper body. The copper body provides excellent thermal conductivity, rapidly dissipating the intense heat generated during the 250A cutting process. This thermal management is critical for preventing premature failure and extending the consumable’s service life. The hafnium insert is selected for its low work function and high melting point, ensuring stable arc starting and a consistent arc column throughout the cut.

Precision machining ensures that the 0558004461 electrode aligns perfectly within the PT-600 torch head. Proper alignment is vital for maintaining the concentricity of the plasma arc relative to the nozzle orifice. Misalignment can lead to poor cut quality, beveled edges, and accelerated wear of surrounding consumables like the nozzle and swirl ring. By using genuine ESAB parts, operators ensure that gas flow dynamics are maintained according to factory specifications, resulting in cleaner cuts and reduced secondary processing.
