The ESAB 0558002352 is a specialized knurled drive roll engineered to optimize the feeding performance of flux-cored (FCAW) and metal-cored (MCAW) welding wires. Unlike smooth V-groove rolls designed for solid wires, this component features a textured, knurled surface within the groove. This texture provides mechanical grip on the softer, tubular wire, ensuring positive feeding traction without requiring excessive tension arm pressure that could crush or deform the wire cross-section.<\/p>\n
This drive roll is a dual-groove, reversible component, offering versatility for shops that utilize multiple wire diameters. One side is machined for .035-inch (0.9 mm) wire, while the reverse accommodates .045-inch (1.2 mm) wire. It is manufactured from hardened steel to withstand the abrasive nature of knurled feeding and continuous industrial use. This part is a direct OEM replacement for a wide range of ESAB wire feeders, ensuring perfect fitment and alignment with the wire guide system.<\/p>\n
