The CK Worldwide 57N74L is a specialized Alumina Gas Lens Nozzle designed to address the challenges of precision TIG welding in confined or obstructed spaces. As a #8 size cup with a 1/2-inch (12.7mm) orifice, it is engineered to work specifically with Large Diameter Gas Lens collet bodies. The primary advantage of this configuration is the generation of a highly coherent, laminar stream of shielding gas. Unlike standard nozzles that can create turbulent flow, the gas lens screen diffuses the gas evenly, providing a broader and more stable protective envelope around the molten weld pool. This is particularly critical when welding reactive materials such as Titanium, Aluminum, or high-grade Stainless Steel, where even minor atmospheric contamination can compromise weld integrity.

The “Long” form factor of the 57N74L extends the reach of the torch, allowing the operator to access deep joints, corners, and recesses that would be impossible to weld with a standard length cup. Furthermore, the laminar flow provided by the gas lens system permits a significantly longer tungsten stick-out—often up to an inch or more depending on conditions—without losing gas coverage. This feature drastically improves visibility of the arc and puddle, enhancing operator control in critical applications.

Manufactured from high-quality alumina oxide, this nozzle offers excellent thermal shock resistance and dielectric strength. It is designed to withstand the high amperage heat cycles associated with industrial TIG welding while resisting the adhesion of weld spatter. Whether used on air-cooled 17/26 series torches or water-cooled 18/20 series torches (equipped with the appropriate large diameter gas lens components), the 57N74L is an essential tool for fabricators requiring both reach and rigorous shielding standards.

[2047,2048

post-1752015","product","type-product","status-publish","product_cat-tig-accessories","product_cat-tig-consumables","pa_brand-ck","pa_item-gas-lense","pa_item-nozzle-cup-2","pa_length-long","pa_material-alumina-oxide","pa_packaging-description-1-per-ea-2","pa_packaging-description-1of1","pa_size-8-1-2","pa_used-to-weld-steel-or-stainless-or-aluminum-5","first","instock","taxable","shipping-taxable","purchasable","product-type-simple
