The CK Worldwide 4CBGSLD is a specialized TIG welding collet body designed for use with the Large Diameter Gas Saver system. This component is essential for welders looking to maximize the performance of their 3 Series (17, 18, 26) or 4 Series TIG torches. Sold in a package of five, these collet bodies are precision-manufactured from high-grade brass to ensure consistent electrical conductivity and thermal stability during demanding welding operations.

The Large Diameter Gas Saver system is renowned in the industry for its ability to provide a massive shield of inert gas around the weld pool. The 4CBGSLD collet body acts as the central hub for this system, securely holding the tungsten electrode and the collet in place while directing gas flow towards the diffuser screen. By optimizing the gas path, this collet body helps eliminate turbulence that can draw atmospheric contaminants into the weld zone. This is critical when working with reactive metals such as titanium, stainless steel, and Inconel, where even minor oxidation can compromise the structural integrity of the joint.

Compatibility is a key feature of the 4CBGSLD. While it carries a “4 Series” designation in the CK Worldwide catalog—often associated with stubby consumables—it is designed to fit standard 3 Series torch bodies including the popular 17, 18, and 26 models, as well as the 150, 210, 300, 510, Trimline, FL3L, and CKM350 torches. This versatility allows fabricators to upgrade their existing heavy-duty torches with the superior gas coverage of the Gas Saver system without buying entirely new torch bodies.
