The Techniweld BMC-5 Wrench is a critical hand tool designed specifically for the operation of B-size (40 cubic feet) and MC-size (10 cubic feet) acetylene cylinders. Unlike larger industrial cylinders that often feature handwheels, these smaller portable tanks typically utilize a square valve stem that requires a specialized key for operation. This wrench features a precise 3/16-inch square opening that mates perfectly with standard industry valve stems, ensuring a secure grip that allows for the safe opening and closing of gas flow.

Manufactured to meet the rugged demands of the trade, this tool is an indispensable part of any HVAC technician’s, plumber’s, or jeweler’s toolkit. The use of improper tools, such as pliers or adjustable wrenches, on a square valve stem can lead to rounding of the corners. A rounded stem makes it difficult or impossible to close the valve in an emergency, posing a significant safety hazard when dealing with volatile gases like acetylene. The BMC-5 eliminates this risk by providing the exact fitment required for the equipment.

The wrench is designed with simplicity and functionality in mind. Its compact form factor allows it to be easily stored in a pocket, attached to a keychain, or kept within a torch kit box without taking up valuable space. Despite its small size, it provides sufficient leverage to crack open tight valves and securely close them after use to prevent leaks. For professionals utilizing portable oxy-fuel or air-acetylene setups for soldering, brazing, or light welding, this key is not just an accessory; it is a fundamental component of the operational assembly.

Reliability in the field is paramount. This wrench is constructed from durable materials capable of withstanding the wear and tear of daily use. Whether you are working on a rooftop unit, under a sink, or in a fabrication shop, the Techniweld BMC-5 ensures you always have the means to control your fuel supply safely and efficiently. It is a standard replacement for lost keys and a smart addition to any backup tool inventory.

Heavy duty forged tank wrench fits most gas connections and valve stems.

Socket holes are precisely sized for solid connections.
[1974,1975

post-1751819","product","type-product","status-publish","product_cat-handtools","product_cat-tools-wrenches-power-tools","pa_brand-techniweld","pa_item-wrench","pa_packaging-description-1-per-each","pa_packaging-description-1-per-each-2","first","instock","taxable","shipping-taxable","purchasable","product-type-simple
