The Avesta BlueOne Pickling Paste 130 is a premier chemical solution designed for the post-weld treatment of stainless steel. In industrial fabrication, the heat generated during welding destroys the passive chromium oxide layer on the steel’s surface, leaving it vulnerable to local corrosion. This pickling paste is formulated to chemically remove the high-temperature oxide scale and the underlying chromium-depleted layer, effectively restoring the material’s natural corrosion resistance. Supplied in a 2.4 kg jar (approximately 2 liters), this product is ideal for brush application on weld seams and smaller surfaces.

What sets the Avesta 130 apart is its proprietary “BlueOne” technology. Traditional pickling pastes often release high levels of toxic nitric fumes during the reaction process. Avesta’s unique formulation reduces these fume emissions by up to 80%, significantly improving the safety and comfort of the working environment without compromising cleaning power. The paste features a free-flowing yet thixotropic consistency, allowing it to be applied easily while clinging effectively to vertical or overhead surfaces without dripping.

This paste is universally suitable for standard stainless steel grades, including 304, 316, and their low-carbon variants. The vivid blue color of the paste serves a functional purpose: it provides excellent contrast against the metal, allowing operators to see exactly where the product has been applied. This visibility helps ensure complete coverage of the heat-affected zone (HAZ) while preventing over-application and waste. After the appropriate reaction time, the paste washes away to reveal a clean, matte grey surface that is fully passivated and ready for service.

Avesta BlueOne Pickling Paste 130 is universally, suitable for brush
pickling of welds and smaller surfaces on all stainless steel grades.

Restores damaged stainless steel surfaces such as weld seams,
by removing weld oxides, the underlying chromium-depleted
layer and other defects that may cause local corrosion.

Improved pickling result, offers a brighter surface with less
discolouration than classic products.

Unique and covered by a world patent.

Higher yield, decreased consumption, thanks to the visible blue
colour and its free-flowing consistency which facilitates
application.

The paste is easy to apply and highly visible.
[2021,2028

post-1751590","product","type-product","status-publish","product_cat-chemicals","product_cat-pickling-paste","pa_brand-avesta","pa_brand-vanguard","pa_item-pickling-paste","pa_packaging-description-2-4kg-jar","first","instock","taxable","shipping-taxable","purchasable","product-type-simple
